➲ 6.5 Creedmoor Barrel
Perfect for long-range target shooters and hunters, the 6.5 Creedmoor was originally designed as an across-the-course high power rifle cartridge. While it excels at its intended role, it is a favorite among the precision rifle crowd. This barrel was designed to be built on the AR10 platform. Machined from 4150 chrome moly steel with a 1:8 twist rate and nitride finish, this barrel will deliver round after round consistently and accurately.
➲ Afterburner Compensator
The CBC Afterburner compensator is a muzzle device that designed to reduce flash intensity while suppressing recoil. These linear compensators are machined from quality steel and finished with an exceptionally corrosion resistant salt bath nitride for a lifetime of service. It utilizes a linear design to direct the high-pressure gas behind the bullet in a straight line away from the shooter which results in a reduction of perceived noise. Due to its six-hole design surrounding the central bore, it provides effective flash suppression that preserves the shooter’s vision in low light conditions.

Let me start off by saying that this is absolutely a great product. I do both tactical and long-distance shooting and my go to caliber for long distance has been the .308. I had been hearing much about the 6.5 Creedmoor throughout the last few years and decided that I would pull the trigger on this. I toyed with the idea of buying a complete Creedmoor Bolt action rifle by a reputable manufacturer but I started thinking how I could maximize versatility. I decided I would go with an upper that would fit well on my DPMS AR 10 lower. After much research on the Internet and price comparison I chose this upper. Fit great on the lower.
Since I did not want to switch the scope from my DPMS .308 upper to this upper I purchased a Vortex Viper to sit on top of this upper. After obtaining proper zero with just a few shots we were putting holes inside of holes in the bull’s-eye diamond. I purchased this product to shoot out to about 1200 yards which I believe it will do flawlessly with good ammunition. One of my friends at the range shot this particular configuration and was enamored by the quality of the upper that I had purchased because of the level of accuracy attained. He voiced that it was at par with his bolt gun in 6.5. I’m thinking of putting one of these together for my son-in-law for our next Christmas. The diminished recoil and reduced target re-acquisition time makes for a fine tactical and long range precision rifle.
