Broke in barrel properly turned out to be woodchucks worst nightmare, runs good very accurate rifle.
Going to try it out this winter on sum coyotes. Customer service is vey good received first upper damaged in shipping sent it back got new one fast.
Long picatiny rail really nice for mounting optics and rifle has very good cool facter as well with this upper key mod hand guard, accessories mount easily..
would like to try 7.62×39 upper next think it would be good short range deer rifle.

This was my first AR build. We spent a lot of time looking for parts, putting the lower together, and getting this upper into our newly put-together lower was fantastic. It was a drop-in. We both the charging handle and the bolt carrier group which were installed in the receiver. It shoots very well. As expected it has a barrel heavy balance. That was compensated by using a target sling.
Overall this was a great upper and I will buy another from CBC.

Received upper. There were issues.shipped it back.the return was quick.still had an issue.shipped it back again.the guys in the shop called me about it ,fixed it, sent the upper back.shoots great ! This was my first 223 build. spent some time looking for a quality/budget upper and this fit the bill perfectly. Everything is nice and tight and it shoots fantastic. Using some thrown together pet loads I was able to get groups down to about 1″ -1.5″, which makes me happy to know that it has some potential.

I put this upper on a lower I had assembled. The stock is an A2. This will be my tactical RIFLE and is set up with a MEPRO M21 Reflex Sight, BUIS, three-point sling, and a bipod that I will remove once the gun is fully sighted-in. A Streamlight weapon light will be mounted once I get a Keymod Picatinny rail section for it. I have been shooting it and there have been no malfunctions whatsoever. I have run 55gr. M193 and 75gr. Match loads through it so far. The match loads shot very well and the best 55gr. loads have been my reloads. I am still looking for a factory 55gr. load that will shoot M.O.A., but have not found it yet. Since this is a tactical rifle, I am keeping my shooting to 100 yards and closer, with most shooting at 50 yards.

Well I ordered from CBC for my 4th build and as I ordered a very popular Upper had to wait for a few weeks to have my order fulfilled. Dealt with Chris, Julia, and Lorraine, actually change my order midway through the build and they never complained a bit. Received my upper and it matched perfectly to my Spikes Tactical lower , have yet to fire it, (need Optics) but the look and feel are terrific . Dealing with Chris, Julia , and Lorraine was like I was their best customer. Highly recommend this company for anyone looking to build a top of the line weapon. Will post further once I’ve been to the ranger, but truly expect it to perform as good as it looks.

Got it mounted with optics and took it to the range and zeroed in three rounds then moved to 100 yds and this barrel was dead on, however, would not recharge, changed magazine and the same problem, changed lowers with one my others same thing. If I charge it manually no issues, is a tack driver, so called CBC and the tech wanted to talk me through resetting the gas tube in the gas block, I said no would rather they repaired it, so it’s on it’s way back to CBC on my dime this time, said 2 to 3 weeks and as I requested the test fire it that added another week, let’s hope my neighbor who ordered the same upper as I and waited 2 months also does not encounter any issues. Hoping mine is just an anomaly . Will post once I get it back.

Finally an update from my previous review, got the upper back in 10 days, experienced some timing issues, contacted Vince , did some experimenting with buffers and springs and found the correct combination, rifle is perfect. Have used 4 different brands of ammunition in it, other than adjusting the optics for different loads this is an extremely accurate weapon. Cudos the Lorraine, Vince and the rest of the staff at CDC, they are always helpful, courteous, and genuine in their approach to you the customer. Look forward to my next purchase. Thanks again guys.

Just received this upper today and it is a work of art, perfect in every way. I have yet to shoot it so can’t give a review on performance just yet but the attention to detail cbc put into assembly of this upper I expect no issues. I will definitely be buying again for other builds. Look forward to doing business again soon

This upper right out of the box is like Christmas morning. attached to my psa lower (budget build) it looks great! the A4 rail top between the handguard and the receiver seem like there about 1/64 of an inch off on each side but isn’t a big deal really. I rate it 4 stars because the rear disassembly pin will not go all the way through. it goes through the first side of the lower, into the upper and it seems the hole isn’t exactly square to the drilling surface so it won’t go through to the other side completely. (side-note; i haven’t shot it yet). Other than that, nothing’s loose or off at all. very excited to shoot it.
Short version: Looks and feels great. rated 4 because the rear disassembly pin doesn’t line up exactly and won’t go through.

I haven’t seen customer service like this in a long time. CBC stands behind their products and will fix any problems you might have. My BCG wasn’t moving freely into the chamber, I had to use the forward assist, seemed it had a few burrs on the feed ramps. I don’t know but I sent it back for a stainless barrel and problem solved, it works great now. They wasted no time sending it back to me, I had it back in a week. The stainless barrels and HERA rails are top notch. The gas block was perfectly centered and unlike the Radical Arms upper I had it fits my lower without a bunch of slop. I will be recommending CBC uppers to everyone I know. Will definately have to buy more uppers from CBC!
