Description
This AR15 upper receiver assembly comes ready to attach to any Mil-Spec lower receiver. It is?built around a 10.5 inch, 4150 chrome moly barrel and has a black nitride finish. The upper receiver is a forged M4 flat top upper, allowing you to easily attach rifle scopes and red dot sights to the picatinny rail.
This upper assembly comes with a standard A2 flash hider that effectively suppresses muzzle flash and protects the 1/2?28 barrel threads if you are planning on adding a muzzle break in the future.

Purchased this upper for a SBR build and could not be happier. Ordered on 7/1/2016 and upper shipped on 7/7/2016. Fit and finish were superb, and it fir my PSA15 lower like a glove. Added a Fail Zero NBC BCG, CMC 3.5# trigger, and a Vortex Viper red dot. Took it to the range, and zeroed the red dot at 65 yds. Accuracy was incredible for such a short barrel, had several three shot groups that could be completely covered with a quarter! T

So far excellent. Fit is perfect and I couldn’t be happier. Only have about 50 rounds through it with a non magnified red dot, but the accuracy seems to be really good. Looking to order my next CBC upper in 300 BO.

Ordered my upper, started off by shipping a week earlier than expected, came in, great packaging and flawless. Dropped it on my new lower, threw a cheap 35$ truglo non magnified red dot on and off to the range I went. Being my first short barrel/pistol AR I wasn’t sure what to expect but now I think it’s going to be hard to go back to my 16″ & 20″ AR’s. Accuracy was spot on and 100% confident with every shot, especially for running the cheap red dot. The length, light weight and Center of balance perfectly over the Lower receiver I believe helped a lot, being able to steady quick and not getting a lazy posture after shooting a while.
Only reason I did not give 5 stars was due to heat transfer into the handguard. Being so lightweight I was expecting a fair amount of heat, but it got hot fast and quick, first mag I emptied without stopping after sighting in, but luckily I found myself most comfortable gripping the mag well anyways and decided to throw a magwell grip on there. Last “negative” is the common/typical AR dislike for steel cases, only liked the brass. Might change after I get some more rounds thru her, might not. A lot longer review than I planned, but wasn’t much for reviews when I bought and hopefully this will help someone make a decision to buy this, or another receiver or not. I would put money their other uppers/parts are on par with this item.

im quite pleased with this upper…..although the gas block was not tread-locked (came loose while test firing) the fit of the rail, the finish and quality of the parts are very nice. lead time was 2 weeks , i received a call from customer service after 2.5 weeks (which i thought was pretty cool) saying the rail was back ordered although they were expected to be in the next day and they would be building my upper asap upon there arrival. 7 days (including a weekend) later it arrived. ive put over a hundred rounds though it since tightening and tread-locking the gas block with zero issues. i will definitely be looking to CBC for future builds. Thanks CBC!!!

I love it. Shipping was fast and at the upper came in at an affordable price. I also bought the ambi charging handle to go with it. I cant believe how nice both are. The charging handle compares with the other more-expensive brand name ones I have on my other AR15s. The upper looks awesome and paired up with my Anderson lower perfectly. It is lightweight and solid. I’m really happy with the way my build came out. CBC is a great company. I just ordered an upper receiver for my AR9 and got a great deal. I’ll keep coming back!
