Due to being machined from 4150 chrome moly steel, this barrel contains a better cut, higher-definition rifling, crowns, and chambers, resulting in the ability to stay more accurate over its usable life. This barrel utilizes the popular and versatile .223 Wylde chamber, which allows for the safe usage of 5.56 NATO ammunition and enhance reliability. This is the perfect barrel for an AR build, keeping weight to an absolute minimum due to the fluting, while still offering a significant ballistic advantage.
Chambered in .223 Wylde, this barrel provides you with the expanded choice of ammunition. Choose match grade .223 Remington or safely fire higher pressure 5.56 NATO rounds. Constructed of 4150 chrome moly steel and finished in phosphate for excellent surface protection. The 1:8 twist rate is great for stabilizing most bullet weights from 55 grains up to 77 grains and the rifle-length gas system is optimal for reliability and reduced recoil.

Received this barrel in 2 days ( fast shipping ) , and installed on my rifle. Thanks to the dimple for the gas block mount , the alignment process was a snap. I went to the range , and performed a scope alignment. I have to say that the barrel was much more accurate than my ability. After I sighted in the scope , ( using 55 grain ammo ) , I tried some 64 grain and had successful grouping . Also tried 62 green tip ( not as good ). I am glad I went with the 1 9 twist. .The rifle cycled flawlless. Great barrel.

Awesome barrel, shot .75 moa @100 yards with Hornady match ammo. I predict .5 moa or less once I work up handloads and the barrel breaks in. Thank you CBC!
