Perfect for target shooters and hog hunters, the 6.5 Grendel is known for its extreme accuracy and top-tier ballistic performance. Machined from 4150 chrome moly steel with a 1:8 twist rate and nitride finish, this barrel will deliver round after round consistently and accurately. This AR15 barrel features 5/8×24 tpi threads, and a chamber and gas port optimized for reliability. In addition, this barrel is a type II resulting in a .120″ throat and a .300″ neck.

We purchased one of these barrels for a repeat customer of ours in which we built a custom rifle. We used it in conjunction with a side charging billet upper receiver, and utilized a flat wire recoil spring and carbine buffer. Unfortunately the gas port was too small for his set up, however, we were able to machine the gas port without impacting any accuracy, as we were shooting 1/2 MOA-3/4MOA using Hornady factory ammunition in controlled conditions (indoor range, 100 yards, 75* temperature, 65% humidity).
The customer was thoroughly impressed and anxious to get out and hunt with it.
